What are you lusting after at the moment and why?

I want a Macbook Air. It's light, it's sleek, and while I admit there are issues with the twin cores shutting down you've got to admit it's got enough power to keep you going when you're in college and lugging around a machine for lectures.

I want a PS3 for some of the great games coming out. I will definitely want the new iPhone when it comes out no matter what. Macbook Air sounds about right. Let me add a new Nintendo DS Lite and PSP. Hmm...50"+ Flat Screen television and 2 24" monitors for the desktop to replace the 30" monitor.

Besides that though I'm not looking to get much.

Looks like I'll have to be a little more ambitious. *winks at Scrivs*

I'd like a Mac Pro, a Sony Alpha 700, an iPod Touch, and I'm eyeing that really innovative Wii Fit.

Come to think of it, I'll throw in a Iron Suit with an integrated weapons systems and flying capability

Iron Man Suit

Booyeah.

Sorry you only get one shot at the Techno Lust Genie until he makes his return. I do need a camera and video recorder though so can't believe I excluded those.

Paul why do you wanna get rid of the 30"? I'll take it off your hands.

New iPhone for sure. New TV is coming hopefully in the next month or whenever we get our economic stimulus check... finally getting an HDTV. Would be nice to have a PS3 to go along with it since the Wii's graphics leave much to be desired. Who am I kidding, I have a Wii and don't really play it, so I'll probably do the same with the PS3.

Let's see. If my list is any indication, it'll be an upgrade to everything I have which includes:

  1. A 50 inch HDTV
  2. A 7.1 surround sound entertainment system
  3. A PC custom rigged to my settings (eg. quad-core Pentiums, 8 gigs RAM, SLI Geforce...you get the idea)
  4. The Shure SE530 to replace my aging Shure E2G
  5. The Thinkpad X300, everything the MBA is and much much more.

I'm happy with my camera and I'm not much of a phone person. I know there is a replacement for my aging Sansa E280 but I haven't found any just yet. I live for gadgets. I probably have more than my fair share of it now, owned or jerry-rigged.

@Mike: Not really get rid of, it would serve another purpose maybe for another computer. So I guess demoted is the right word in this instance.

I'd like a bigger TV, maybe a 50", definitely the new iPhone coming out, and the new Audi A4. I'm also trying to get a second monitor for the home office.

I'd love a 50" HDTV, but right now I'd settle for any tv. I'd also love an iPhone, but I'm waiting for the new one to come out before I buy that. The Mac Air is on my list also. Really, I'm not thinking of that many gadgets at the moment since I'm saving up to get an apartment.

I love my 24"ers =)

I would definitely recommend anybody who needs a lot of screen two of them. They big but not too big. I think dual-27+ would cause too much head movement.

Not sure what's next on my list. Probably some form of Eee PC but I'm tempted to hold out for the Atom-powered models.

@JPhill: Damn we are counting cars as gadgets now? You just stepped the playing field up to massive levels with that. It seems everyone is looking at the 50" range for TVs, wonder why no 60" takers yet. Maybe the price jumps too much at those levels.

I definitely consider a car a gadget, just a real damn expensive one.

If cars are considered gadgets, then I want this. Only in black.

I really want to upgrade my G5 17" iMac to an aluminum one... 24" ideally.

But... I really don't need to at all. My G5 still does everything pretty darn well. I can't run aperture, or do much in the way of video editing, but otherwise it's pretty fantastic still.

Maybe a turbo kit for my miata?
