NEW YORK -- A story in Wednesday's New York Daily News claims that Jets coach Eric Mangini, a former New England assistant under Bill Belichick, came armed with keen knowledge of the team's surveillance methods -- and finally decided to act.
"[The Jets] knew they did it," the Daily News wrote, citing a person with knowledge of the situation, who sent the newspaper an e-mail. "They caught the guy a year ago, but couldn't do anything about it. When Eric came, he said that's what they used to do. Bill is going to be [ticked] at Eric. He kissed and told."
Sunday's game was the fifth time Mangini has coached against Belichick since joining the Jets.

Is it just me, or is this not the most ridiculous thing? What do the Patriots have to gain by stealing signals, especially from the JETS? Could it be that the Pats aren't what they seem? Hrrrrm.
And good for you, Eric Mangini.

Haha, I always wondered if stuff like this happens, apparently it does.
The benefits of actually knowing the play your opponent is running before the run it is pretty obvious, and good for the Jets for showing that funny business does still happen in football.

The funniest part to me is the fact that Mangini was the Pats' defensive coordinator. Is the spying even necessary? Spend your spying efforts on somebody who didn't run your plays 2 seasons ago.

So our theory that the Patriots are just an invention of a post-911 Bushian government to raise patriotism in the U.S. may not entirely be true.
Who knew?

Maybe they're actually Al-Qaeda spies disguised as Real American Heroes. They're taping your signals AND your pin number!
