Just had to make it public didn't you? My team is full of hall of famers that figured it would be best to take this season off. For example, I had to start Drew Brees in Week 3. I was beating Jen by 1 going into his MNF game so not matter what I was guaranteed to win...that was until he scored -2 points and I lost by 1 :(.

Add to that I lost to Tyme and Mike...

It's alright Scrivs. Not everyone can have my skillz. :) And it's alright, I lost to Connor by 4 points in Week...3 and I'm up against Jen this week. I'm not that confident about this game. Although, I did beat Mike even though Tony Romo had a bad game. :)

Scrivs, I thought you didn't lose to women?

I don't "lost to women"...ever.

Edited...

Hey...do we want to do a basketball fantasy league? I'm all about that.

I don't think I'd keep up with basketball much.

I should have won last weekend however I was out of town all and thought I had put my Redskins in on D..

I did not.. do I lost.

See the suck that is my team! woo!

Meh... Fantasy is the only thing keeping me from being depressed about football this season. Drew Brees apparently forgot that he was Man of the Year (and I think our offensive line forgot that they're supposed to be protecting him?) last year and now both Deuce AND Colston are hurt so it pisses me off to watch the Saints yet again. It sucks more now having seen what they're capable of. At least the Titans are doing well.

But the whole NFL is so weird right now. Everybody who was supposed to blow up this year sucks, and it seems like half the league is hurt. And not only are the Cowboys undefeated, but they won Monday night in spite of Tony Romo throwing five picks? WTF is going on here?

And Josh I'm guessing part of the reason you beat Mike so handily is because he played both Ahman Green and Joseph Addai. :p

Yea...he should have picked up Kenton Keith. No point now though since Addai will be back after the bye. It would have been closer, at least.

I don't "lost to women"...ever.

Ooh Scrivs, we're up this week. Let's see what happens...!!

Oh, and concerning this:

Picture 7

Nice, Jen.

I'm giving you a virtual pat on the back. We should've put money where the mouth was.

Just setting you ladies up for next year when we put money in the pot. Don't want to chase you away too quickly.

Scrivs, we appreciate the learning curve. Thanks for being so patient with us.

Hey Mr. Awesome - thanks for the league info.

In the league I'm in I'm 5-0, only thanks to Mr. Buress.
It is weird how it is now the WR's scoring so much this year.
The injuries have only added to the weirdness of what is the NFL this year.
This week I have 4 byes and I so think my back-ups are going to flop this week. :]

I'm beginning to wonder if beating Scrivs is a curse. I beat him (and seriously, everything could have stopped because I finally beat him at something) first game out...haven't had another win since. :(

You're welcome fray. The injuries to many key players so far this year have hurt a lot of people. I know I'd be doing a lot better if Marvin Harrison and Hines Ward weren't injured, however, I've been able to pick up some decent WR's on the wire while benching both of them.

Tyme, play the wire a bit to pick up some Free Agents and Waivers and you can kick everyone's ass for the rest of the season. You have a few solid starters that will perform well the rest of the season, but your bench isn't that deep. Also, you should be able to pick up a decent WR to fill in your WR/RB slot, unless you can find an extra RB that'll get you at least 6-8 extra points.

After dropping 5 straight, I have won my last 3 and am going strong with my running-back-by-committee team.

I may have jinxed myself by posting this. But we shall see. ;) I'm having a blast climbing back out of the basement.

Yeah, I got my ass kicked by Mike this week. Not doing so hot!

Yea, I lost this one. I've been having internet problems and didn't get a chance to check my roster towards the weekend to make any significant last minute changes. Wish I had, Hines Ward had a nice day.

Yeah I'm the same as Josh, completely slipped my mind this week and I left in four players on a bye.........this week is an obvious lose.

Nothing went the way I expected it to this week. I'm on a bad streak. Meh. Damn low-scoring games! Damn you Marques Colston for finally lighting it up! I had 47 points on my bench because of him.

Fray I've got Buress in my other league and he's been doing really well for me also. I forget what round I picked him up in but he certainly wasn't a safe bet but still has been paying off bigtime since the draft.

Haha Josh throws out the excuse for losing to the Scrivs. Come on, thought you were better than that!? Tsk tsk.

This week's matchup features 2nd place (me) vs. first place Mike. Yes I have climbed and clawed my way back to the top!

Good times ahead! Better watch your backs, I'm coming for all of you. ;)

Ah great, I ruin my 7 game win streak with some bad decisions. Oh well, still first overall over after that. Unlike the Colts, I'll actually bounce back ;)

Tell me about it. Ruined my 4 game streak though I'm leading nothing. hehehe

Trashed Rundle now it's onto the leaders of the other division. Making my climb baby!

This has been an awful season for me in fantasy football........in all 3 of my leagues.

My team's doing terribly too.

Ugh. I lost by ONE friggin' point this past weekend. My bad, though. Internet-deprived weekend so I couldn't pick up a kicker and was totally not on top of the news as far as injuries were concerned.

Meh.

That was payback for the Witten thing!!! ;-)

Last weekend I got screwed by bye weeks.

And stupid Dallas Clark's stupid concussion.

Haha, jensized, I think any of my 6 losses might have been payback (or "payforward") for the Witten thing. Or the Steelers D our matchup week.

That's what it was, the Steelers. SO CLOSE! That's how it's been going every week for me.

I'm ashamed to say I haven't even looked at it in weeks....and now I'm afraid too. LMAO

Standing

Division 1

Rundle (6-4)
Scrivs (5-5)
JPhill (5-5)
Jensized (2-8)
Tyme (2-8)

Divsion 2

ConnorWilson (8-2)
Joshawesome (7-3)
Matt McLean (7-3)
Carl Hoscher (4-6)
Estarla (4-6)

My 4-6 should be 6-4 if I have remembered to put Rothlisberger in last week and played the Skins D a couple weeks ago.

But oh well. I'm having fun, that's all that matters.

I'm calling undefeated next year. Just sayin' ;)

(I probably just whammy'd it)

I made so many stupid decisions early in the season. I had Watson and Winslow for TE, and now I have nothing worth anything. Live and learn :\

How about those Stallions?!?! :)

Hey Scrivs...as a prize, I should get a spot in 9rules for my blog. I think that sounds fair to me.

I enjoyed the league this year with you guys and gals!

I lost in the semis but dominated in the consolation game to finish 3rd. Good times indeed and maybe next time we will open it up to more people so we can spread the talent around. Grats Matt. As for getting into 9rules I'll leave that one up to Toby.

Oh you don't know Toby? Well Toby knows all.

That was a lot of fun. My screwed up team kinda pulled it together late. Sorta. ;)
But a lot of fun nonetheless!

I blew the playoffs pretty efficiently, and was the dominatee of of Scrivs in the Consolation match.

Scrivs only got into the playoffs because I beat Mike in the last match of the season :P

It was still a lot of fun and definitely had me watching every weekend. Grats Matt.

Well Josh got lucky against me in the semis when 5 of his players exploded for 30+ points each. Connor you stood no chance against the beast.

My huge players didn't show up, a la Tom Brady, Adrian Peterson, MJD, Welker, etc...

If you want to see those guys living up to potential check out week 6. 160 points without Jennings showing up ;)

Anyway, if anyone's interested we good do a Grid Iron Playoff Challenge. http://games.espn.go.com/nflpc/frontpage
