Which is more 'entertaining' to watch: MMA, UFC or Boxing matches?
Which sport do you like better, and why?
I myself, love MMA and have been kickboxing since my childhood. Lovin' it!
A great sport to participate in and watch (MMA). It's incredible to see how different fighting styles, methods and tactics match up against other fighters with different styles and different backgrounds in martial arts, wrestling, Judo, TKD, Jujitsu, etc.
Who do you think would win a street fight: A MMA guy or a Boxer?
Please chime in! THX.

I definitely like watching UFC type fights more. They are way more entertaining than boxing. In a street fight, I don't think a boxer has a chance if we're talking full contact. Boxer is only trained to box, and that's it for the most part.
At the same time, if a MMA fighter were to be in a ring with a boxer, and could only box, he would lose.

I prefer to watch boxing over kick boxing. To me boxing just seems to be faster paced, especially when watching at the non-pro level.

MMA. I'm a huge fan of what the Gracies brought to the table with their brand of Brazillian Jui-Jistu (which I studied for a while in college, alongside Judo). While I don't watch much television, I try to catch the Monday night IFL fights.

Well, I can't say that I enjoy watching grappling. I always find the standup fights more exciting. As long as UFC type fights aren't bent on grappling I like them a lot more. Then again, I've never been very enthused when it comes to watching sports in general.
But I did some pretty intense MMA-type training for about 3 years in another life and can certainly say I enjoyed MMA sparring a lot more than boxing. I even have a YouTube video of one of the sessions. Unfortunately it was recorded on an analog (and very old) camera, so the picture is shaky and the sound is missing (I cut out the grappling bits).

Have any of you watched Human Weapon on The History Channel?
Not that it's comprehensive style versus style comparison, but it does a great job of showing the detailed histories, techniques and training involved in different martial arts.
Jason Chambers is a MMA guy, and Bill Duff was co-captain of Tennessee's 1998 NCAA championship football team (go Vols!). I think between the two of them, they make a good showing of the strengths and weaknesses of a wide range of fighting styles.
Personally, I enjoy watching mixed martial arts matches much more than just boxing. Although I'm a longtime boxing fan, and really appreciate a good fight, I think the energy and intensity of MMA makes for a much more engaging experience.

I was fortunate to watch UFC 76 (?) last night: Champion versus Champion! Great fights!!!!
Great to see fighters from PRIDE coming to UFC-excellent matchup's! Can't wait to see Sera fight Matt and watch the UFC teley show! They showed previews last night and it looks like the flat mates don't get along too well...in-house fights galore! Wicked!

To answer your question as to who would win, I think that it would depend on who landed the first punch. I don't know that a MMA guy would be able to take the punch, but if he avoided it and got the boxer off balance, he would probably beat him.

MMA will win ... a boxer could not even defend a takedown.
