Do You Ski?

As the weather gets colder and storms start moving over the Rockies, I find myself already obsessing over which pass to get, and my K2 First Luvs will be released this weekend from their winter rest to get a tune up.

What about you? Are you obsessing yet? Where do you ski or ride? What equipment are you rolling with?

Heck yes, just a few weeks left. I got the Copper/Winter Park pass because Wells Fargo offered buy-1-get-1-free with a new account. I'll be riding on Bandit X2s this season.

Our business frat will spend Nov. 11th weekend at Copper and I couldn't be more excited. ;-)

The Bandits look sweet. I will probably be getting the Rocky Mountain Super Pass too since most of my friends are cashing in on the buy-one-get-one deal and one has family with a ski-in/ski-out condo just off the Super Bee. I'll most likely get a Loveland 4-pack as well since I love that mountain.

I'm not sure I'll be diving in before December although that really depends on the snow I guess.

Also, I meant releasing my skis from their summer rest, of course.

Sounds good, Nicole. I'm thinking of maybe starting a ski blog for Colorado, care to collaborate? :-)

I'd definitely be up for that. I've been toying with the idea of a biking/skiing blog myself.

Breck, Keystone, and A-Basin (at snow.com) has a "Ski-3" pass - unlimited season pass w/no blackouts - for $379 ... seeing as how I only get up there twice a year, it makes for a hassle free, inexpensive option.

This year, I'm headed to Telluride because we were offered free housing from a family member. Never been, but I hear if you buy a pass in October you can get a sweetheart of a deal there, too.

Devin, I hope you don't block the IP addresses of snowboarders on your new ski blog (we're people, too!!!!!)

Speaking of A-Basin, it opens today at 9am!

And, yes, boarders are people too. Except when they run into me or take out my tele friends. :)

Hah my roommate boards so I have no issues. I decided to make it a Colorado 'Snow' Blog, how's that? ;)

Nicole, I think I'm going to start putting a little skull and crossbone sticker on my helmet each time I run over another skier ...

Watch out! ;)

Nice, asherlew. It'll be like a badge of honor.

I haven't been skiing in a while. I'll probably appreciate it more after I move.

I'm afraid I don't ski. You did inspire me to do a post about the two disastrous times I did go, however. Would I do it again? I fear the idea (and the image) of me on skis these days would be preposterous. It's sad, really ;-)
