So pick the Superbowl Winner :

Will the refs hand over the trophy to the Pats or will they earn it?
Will the Chargers finally overcome their one and done playoff record? Or will Rivers forget to take his meds and overreact on every play gone bad?
I guess time can only tell...
Nearly every spot for the playoffs is taken now so who is your pick for the Superbowl winner and why?
I'm going with a Jacksonville/Green Bay matchup with Jacksonville winning the Superbowl.
The Jags have great defense, a terrific rush offense with a smart and effective QB. I think that if they match-up against San Diego the first round, they will be in the big one.

Jacksonville? The same Jacksonville who got smashed by the Texans yesterday?
Sure, they "relaxed" a good number of starters during that "meaningless" game, but the Texans' have been relaxing a good number of their starters as well for most of the season with the highest number of players on injured reserve.
I see Jacksonville getting kicked out in the first round by the Steelers.
As far as the SB is concerned, gotta go with the Pats finishing it all.

In my opinion the Jags would've beat the Texans with their starters on the field.
Like you said, meaningless game.
As long as it isn't the Chargers, I'm fine with whoever goes to be honest with you.
You see how classless Rivers is? The guy sure is the north end of a south bound donkey.

No doubt. But the Texans nearly had a shot at the playoffs with half a healthy team. If they had all their starters available for the whole season, I don't think we'd even be discussing Jacksonville at this point.
But then again, if a frog had wings...
I still cant see anything derailing the Pats, unless something really detrimental happens during the playoffs. I'd be really surprised if it's anything other than a Pats / Cowboys matchup, with the Cowboys pulling off the upset 21-17.

(Dreamer Vote)
I want to see the Redskinds, high on their thrashing of Dallas yesterday continue to roll on through to the Super Bowl and take it all.
Odds would be better if they didn't find new and exciting ways to beat themselves each week.

If you're going to pull that card go ahead and discredit the Cowboys, the Colts and the Steelers. You can either say the Romocomotive is derailing, or they were just going through the motions. You just cannot predict teams' offseason performance based on the last week of the regular season.
Jacksonville is a good team. They've been a quiet storm all year. The Steelers run D sucks. Taylor and Jones-Drew will run all over them. Again. The only advantage Pittsburgh has is home-field. Jax can definitely take them (again).
The Titans are going to eat Philip Rivers for lunch. After dominating the entire game and losing to the Bolts in overtime a few weeks ago, they'll be out for blood. Haynesworth being healthy will make all the difference. Except you won't see Vince Young on the sideline talking shit.
I like the Redskins right now. Story aside, they've been playing extremely well. They're on a roll and they've got a lot of heart. Also they've got my boy LaRon Landry and I gotta root for ex-Tigers always. I want to see them go far, and I think they'll be able to beat the Seahawks next week. Hell, if the Saints can beat them (f**k you Steve Weatherford)...
I may get some crazy looks but I'm thinking either Skins-Pats or Packers-Pats.

I don't care, but I'll go with peroty as I'm from the area. Redskins.

Jensized, I'm not pulling any cards here. I realize that the playoff bound teams are taking it easy in the final game to be ready for the playoffs.
Specifically regarding the Jags / Texans though, I see it being a little more even, because although Jacksonville sat out a good number of starters, Houston too was sitting out just as many (if not more) starters for that game because of injuries.
In other words, I cant give any credit to the Jags for "relaxing", because I think the number of substitutions on both sides was pretty even. Thus, I think they were beat, fair and square.
Given the fact that Houston played with up to 16 starters on IR for most of the season, and still barely missed the playoffs with a team made up of backups, I got to give them credit for winning.
That's just to clarify my point, not trying to derail the thread.

I would have gone with Dallas-Pats a few weeks ago, but my boys have not been showing too much lately. Hopefully, this will change in the playoffs if not I guess I have to go with Green Bay- Pats.

This is a toughie but I'm thinking either the Pats or the Jags. Definitely going to stay in the AFC methinks. No team in the NFC is capable of winning the big game methinks.

Cowboys/Pats in the big game, Cowboys winning it all in a high-scoring shootout.

I'll make the same prediction I've made since I was about 9 years old:
Steelers vs. Redskins
I base this on nothing except personal preference, I want to see my teams in the big game.
...oh and it's going to rain down there in Glendale too.

Sucky for this prediction. Both the Steelers and the Redskins were defeated today.

Been saying this since week 9: Pats/'Boys or Pats/Pack.
I love Indy (well, Dungy), and I love my Bucs, but I'm sticking by my predictions.
