I drive a Toyota Tacoma 1998. I bought it five years ago based on few factors, reliability and the fact that my German Shepard adores the truck bed.

'07 Mustang GT, Windveil Blue, loaded except for that silly Shaker 1000 audio system that adds a huge box with subwoofers to the trunk! How does one grocery shop with that? Lovin' my ride!

'03 Audi A4 Avant TDI - Great for work (I carry a lot of stuff), great on mileage, too big for the wife the drive and fun enough. Okay, the last point isn't strictly true, but for now it is okay.

My old boss bought one (the BMW version, I presume you're talking about), brand spanking new and one of the very first off the production line a few years back. It spent more time in the garage than it did on the road during its first four years. And now it's worth nothing because he's owned it for so long.
Unless it's an Aston, don't buy psuedo-British!

Man, I hate you Mike. I wish I would've been able to purchase a G35 this summer.
I sold my '01 BMW 330xi 5-speed and bought this 2007 Scion tC in the summer. I probably spent a good $4,000 fixing my BMW constantly over the year and a half I had it; thankfully I haven't had those issues with my Scion.
I've also caught the import tuning / autocross bug again, so let's see how that works out.
